Frankfurt is the business and financial centre of Germany and the largest city in the German state of Hesse. The city is known for its futuristic skyline and the biggest German airport. It is the fifth largest city in Germany after Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne. Located on the river Main, Frankfurt is the financial capital of Continental Europe and the transportation hub of Germany. Frankfurt is home to the European Central Bank and the German Stock Exchange. Furthermore, it hosts some of the world's most important trade shows, such as the Frankfurt Auto Show and the Frankfurt Book Fair. Frankfurt is also home to many museums, theatres and a world-class opera. Frankfurt is a city of contrasts. Wealthy bankers, students and granola drop-outs coexist in a city that has some of the highest, most avant-garde skyscrapers of Europe next to well maintained old buildings. The downtown area, especially Römer square and the museums at the River Main, draw millions of tourists every year. On the other hand, many off the beaten track neighbourhoods, such as Bockenheim, Bornheim, Nordend and Sachsenhausen, with their intact beautiful 19th century streets and parks are often overlooked by visitors. Frankfurt is the place where Germany's major autobahns and railways intersect. About 650,000 people commute to the city each day, not counting the 660,000 people who really live here. With a huge airport - the third-largest in Europe - it is the gateway to Germany and for many people also the first point of arrival in Europe. Further, it is a prime hub for interconnections within Europe and for intercontinental flights. QUESTIONS? We would like to hear from you! This is an airport / tour review of the inside and outside of Frankfurt Airport (FRA), located in Germany. This airport footage is of a transfer flight and should give the viewer an idea of what it is like to arrive at Frankfurt Airport on a European flight, and give the viewer an idea of how it is to transfer at Frankfurt area (arrive on one flight and then how to find and get to a connection flight). This airport tour begins with our disembarkation onto the tarmac at Frankfurt Airport (FRA). We have just arrived on a flight from an EU country and will be going to another gate in Frankfurt Airport´s Terminal 1 building to board our next flight to another EU country. From the aircraft we board a bus which takes us on a long ride through the Airport to our Terminal Building (Terminal 1), The drive through the airport gives you, the viewer, an idea of just how large this German Airport (Lufthansa Hub) actually is. Once we arrive at the terminal building, we quickly make our way to the gate information screen to see from which gate we will be boarding our flight (which in our case is to Copenhagen Airport). Our gate is A7, so we then follow our on foot walk through the beautiful Terminal 1 building, following the signs all the way in the direction of our Gate. Our flight is due to begin boarding soon, hence we do not have much time to stop and make use of the nice looking coffee shops or to do some Duty Free Shopping at the multiple brand names stores located in this Terminal. We easily follow the signs to our gate. Information is very effective at Frankfurt Airport, and we found it to be a very easy airport to do a flight transfer (transit / connection flight). Once we find our departure gate we again have to go downstairs into the "cellar" as our flight will once again be a tarmac boarding, which means we will once again be driven from the gate to the aircraft by bus. We call the gate area for our flight "the cellar" as this area almost id´s a cellar with no natural light located under the Terminal 1 building. The area is dull and gloomy and Frankfurt Airport should do something to make the interior of this departure area more inviting to passengers... Once our flight begins boarding the viewer is again taken on a bus drive through Frankfurt Airport to our waiting aircraft... Wiki writes about Frankfurt Airport, "Frankfurt Airport (IATA: FRA, ICAO: EDDF) (German: Flughafen Frankfurt am Main, also known as Rhein-Main-Flughafen) is a major international airport located in Frankfurt, the fifth-largest city of Germany and one of the world's leading financial centers. It is operated by Fraport and serves as the main hub for Lufthansa including Lufthansa CityLine and Lufthansa Cargo as well as Condor and AeroLogic. The airport covers an area of 4,942 acres (7.722 sq mi) of land and features two passenger terminals with a capacity of approximately 65 million passengers per year, four runways and extensive logistics and maintenance facilities...." Wiki writes about Lufthansa (Frankfurt Airport is the main Hub for the German Airline, Lufthansa), "Deutsche Lufthansa AG (FWB: LHA), commonly known as Lufthansa (sometimes also as Lufthansa German Airlines), is a German airline[note 3] and also the largest airline in Europe, both in terms of overall passengers carried and fleet size when combined with its subsidiaries. It operates services to 18 domestic destinations and 197 international destinations in 78 countries across Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe, using a fleet of more than 280 aircraft. This airport tour / review is filmed at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and includes footage from our Lufthansa Arrival, the transit bus that transferred us to the Airports terminal, a walk through the Terminal 1 building, a bus ride to our connection SAS flight. *Our Gear (https://youtu.be/z06DkOYmGOU) Please leave a COMMENT, LIKE or SUBSCRIBE to our channel to see more aviation videos like this. Frankfurt Airport is a major international airport located in Frankfurt, the fifth-largest city of Germany and one of the world's leading financial centres. It is operated by Fraport and serves as the main hub for Lufthansa including Lufthansa CityLine and Lufthansa Cargo as well as Condor and AeroLogic. The airport covers an area of 2,000 hectares (4,942 acres) of land and features two passenger terminals with a capacity of approximately 65 million passengers per year, four runways and extensive logistics and maintenance facilities. Frankfurt Airport is by far the busiest airport by passenger traffic in Germany as well as the 4th busiest in Europe after London Heathrow Airport, Paris–Charles de Gaulle Airport and İstanbul Atatürk Airport. The airport is also the 12th busiest worldwide by total number of passengers in 2015, with 61.032 million passengers using the airport in 2015, an increase of 2.5% from 2014. It also had a freight throughput of 2.076 million metric tonnes in 2015 and is the busiest airport in Europe by cargo traffic. As of winter 2012, Frankfurt Airport served 264 destinations in 113 countries, making it the airport with the most international destinations in the world. Wrocław is the largest city in western Poland. It is on the River Oder in the Silesian Lowlands of Central Europe, roughly 350 kilometres (220 mi) from the Baltic Sea to the north and 40 kilometres (25 mi) from the Sudeten Mountains to the south. Wrocław is the historical capital of Silesia and Lower Silesia. Today, it is the capital of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. At various times in history, it has been part of the Kingdom of Poland, Bohemia, Hungary, the Austrian Empire, Prussia, and Germany. It became part of Poland in 1945, as a result of the border changes after the Second World War. The population of Wrocław in 2015 was 635 759, making it the fourth-largest city in Poland. Wrocław classified as a global city by GaWC, with the ranking of high sufficiency and living standard. It was among 230 cities in the world in the ranking of the consulting company Mercer — "Best City to Live" in 2015 and the only Polish city in this ranking has been recognized as a city growing at the business center. In 2016, the city is a European Capital of Culture and the World Book Capital. Also, Wrocław will host the Theatre Olympics, World Bridge Games and the European Film Awards in 2016, IFLA Annual Conference and World Games in 2017. The E-190/195 models are a larger stretch of the E-170/175 models fitted with a new, larger wing, larger horizontal stabilizer and a new engine, the GE CF34-10E, rated at 18,500 lb (82.30 kN). These aircraft compete with the Bombardier CRJ-1000 and CS100, the Boeing 717-200 and 737-600, and the Airbus A318. It can carry up to 100 passengers in a two-class configuration or up to 124 in single-class high density configuration. The first flight of the E-190 was on March 12, 2004 (PP-XMA), with the first flight of the E-195 (PP-XMJ) on December 7 of the same year. The launch customer of the E-190 was New York-based low-cost carrier JetBlue with 100 orders and 100 options. British low-cost carrier Flybe launched the E-195 with 14 orders and 12 options. As the 190/195 models are of mainline aircraft size, many airlines operate them as such, fitting them with a business class section and operating them themselves, instead of having them flown by a regional airline partner. For example, Air Canada operates 45 E-190 aircraft fitted with 9 business-class and 88 economy-class seats as part of its primary fleet. JetBlue and US Airways also operate the E-190 as part of their own fleet thus allowing airlines increased crewing flexibility by having the ability of air crews to work aboard narrow-body or widebody aircraft all the same.

Hello and welcome to another airport visit , this time in FRA Frankfurt Airport the biggest in Germany and main hub to Star Alliance member Lufthansa. The tour office offers a variety of tours in this airport , i chose the longest one ,called the Maxi Tour , we were explain during this tour that in the future as Terminal 3 will be build a new kind of tour will be offered ,which will be even longer than this one , well i sure hope so. The tour is in the german language but the guide does speak english and will do his best to answer any questions that one may have regarding this subject. Sorry for the shaky camera moves and jumping from side to side, but in order to get the best out of our models one does have to move. Both videos : Part 1 and Part 2 are almost unedited , so you can have an idea as of what to expect. Depending of the time of the day that u decide to take this tour , u will encounter different airlines of course. This tour began at 13:00 hours. Here is the link to the airport's website so u can order your tickets: http://www.frankfurt-airport.com/content/airport-site/de/faszination-airport/flughafen-entdecken.html#flughafenentdeckenrundfahrten/tab=ueberblickrundfahrten You can also appear at the airport and buy the tickekt at the office that you c at d beginning of this video ,but that depends if there are some available, so i would advise online. Enough said , enjoy the tour , until the next one in ?????
